Posted on March 7, by Adam Miller About a year ago, a good friend of mine and I were talking about visions that God has given us throughout the years. It has been a while since that conversation, but I finally had the opportunity recently to sit down and digest that book. The book is a sort of self-help book to those who have visions and it offers strategies on how to maintain a vision, accomplish the tasks, and sustain positive results. With a collective Church size of over 15, people, Andy Stanley has established himself as a voice to be heard and a clear visionary to be acknowledged.

For my first book I chose Visioneering by Andy Stanley. Through the pages, we are walked through 20 building blocks as we move toward our vision. The nice thing is at this point you may not know what your vision is. Often a vision begins as a concern. We arrive at a place that we realize that we have meaning, a purpose.
It is often something that is bigger than ourselves. It is a God sized project. It becomes our vision. Through the book, we see how Nehemiah handled his difficulties, and by following his lead, we can move from the place a vision is birthed to a seeing that vision fulfilled.
In addition to the life of Nehemiah, the author shares many personal but relevant stories to help make each point. At the end of each chapter there is a workbook style set of questions. By reflecting on the chapter, on the life of Nehemiah, and on our own unique set of circumstances, we can work through the visioneering process and continue to move forward with our dream. Whether you are just beginning and are trying to figure out your vision, are facing roadblocks and ready to give up, or about to see your vision fulfilled, this book is relevant.
Visioneering is the course one follows to make dreams a reality. Where are you at in you vision process? Have you read Visioneering?
Over the past few years, God and marriage have absolutely and wonderfully transformed my heart in ways I could have never imaged. I thought the answer to building the perfect problem-free life was to attain buckets of cash. I am blessed with a job that allows me to work from home. I love being home with my wife.
