Plus, they train your grip each time you work out. It is made very well and I havent had any issues with quality. It will definitely outlast me! Very satisfied by my purchase. Of sand. I used some contractor bags with the supplied filler bags just to be safe, but the filler bags are quite hardy and would probably work just fine on their own. The outer bag has an inner closure with a pull string tie, and then an outer closure with a heavy buckled closure I dont know what those are properly called.

It all started back in when I had neither the time nor the money to get to the gym, so I went about getting hold of as much weight as I could for as little money as possible. It just so happens this turned out to be sand. My first sandbag was a 25kg plastic contractor bag of builders sand, taped up to seal the holes.
The Rise of Sandbag Training
While the purpose of any training method is defined by the user and their goals, sandbag training is especially good for functional strength and conditioning. Unlike other methods that require particular form and technique, sandbags are incredibly simple tools that can be used by almost anyone as long as you know how to pick up a weight properly i. The key to the effectiveness of sandbag training has to do with the shifting of the sand itself. Conversely, the shifting nature of the weight within a sandbag makes that flow impossible; every lift is like the first rep of a set. This makes the workout more challenging by engaging your stabilizer muscles over and over again. If you want to add in conditioning, get a lighter sandbag and add reps and intensity.
